Caution – Use standard electrical safety and ESD procedures at all times.

Removal

  • Remove the 3 screws that hold the lid along the top edge of the rear panel.
  • Tilt the rear end of the lid up slightly, and then pull towards you to remove it.
  • Locate the wide ribbon cable that connects the audio and video boards together.
  • Carefully remove the ribbon cable from ONLY the audio board side, and then fold the cable out of the way with it still attached to the video board. When removing the cable from the board, be very careful not to damage the cable by yanking the ribbon in an awkward direction. A pick tool is the safest way to unseat the connector.
  • Remove all other cables attached to the audio board.
  • Remove the 12 screws that hold the audio board to the rear panel and the 1 screw on the front section of the audio board.
  • With the screws removed from the board, carefully start pulling the board out of the server. It will still be attached to the genlock cable on the bottom side of the board. Disconnect the genlock cable to fully remove the board from the server.

Installation

  • Connect the genlock cable coming from the rear panel of the chassis to the bottom side of the audio board.
  • Seat the board into the server.
  • Install the 12 screws on the rear panel, and the 1 screw near the front of the board.
  • Insert all cables onto the audio board.
  • Place the lid back on the server and install the 3 screws.
